Please join us Wednesday, October 26 through Friday, October 28 at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg/Hershey. This year we’ve also partnered with VisionServe Alliance for some special programming.

Wednesday, October 26th (Check in at Noon. First session 1:00 pm)
- Full afternoon of professional development. Topics include Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in your Organization, Board Conflict of Interest, PA Fundraising Laws, Non-Profit Accounting, PA’s Neighborhood Assistance Program
- Planned Presenters from UPMC, PA Attorney General’s Office, Helix Strategies, PA DCED, Strategic CFO Solutions
- Dinner and Cruise on the Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society’s Pride of the Susquehanna honoring Dick Bosserman on his retirement from Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped and decades of service to PAB
Thursday, October 27th (Breakfast, Lunch, & Coffee Break provided)
- Full day of professional development. Topics include Grants and the VI/B community, Prevent Blindness Certification/Recertify Testing, TVI’s and Coms with School Districts, Practical Technology for OM-Suggestions for Practice and Keeping Pace, Low Vision Rehabilitation, PAB Program Roundtable, TSS and PSE Speed Networking/Problem Challenge
- Planned Presenters from Salus University, Lebanon Bible College, University of Pittsburgh, PaTTAN
- PAB Board Meeting
- Night Out – Hollywood Casino at Penn National Racecourse, Dinner at Hershey’s Chocolatier Restaurant, or Adventure on your Own. There will also be live music at the hotel’s Winners Circle Saloon. (Shuttle Service to Chocolatier provided)
Friday, October 28th – VisionServe Alliance Day! (Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee Break provided)
- Professional and program development presentations. Topics include The BIG Data Project, Compensation and Benefits in the VI/B Community, Cracking the Funding Code, DEI Resources for VI/B
The Holiday Inn Harrisburg/Hershey is located just off of Exit 80 of I-81 in Grantville. There are two restaurants, Winners Circle Saloon and the Great American Grille, as well as an indoor pool.
Rooms are $129 per night (plus tax) and should be reserved by clicking here. After selecting check in and check out dates, click on the “rate preference box” and look for “Group Code”. Enter P1B. This rate expires at midnight on September 26, so please make sure you reserve your rooms by then!
We’ve opted for buffet style meals this year. If you are concerned about what is included in the buffets, please ask us for details. Additionally, if you require gluten-free options, let us know on the registration page. The hotel will provide special meals for those who register in advance for gluten free.
After selecting the number of each type of ticket, you’ll see the options for registering each person. This is also where the additional activities, shuttle bus, and gluten free meal should be selected.
You may pay online via credit card or select the “Agency Check” option which will allow you to send PAB a check as payment.
After registering, attendees may receive an auto reply from the website (which might go to your spam folder). PAB will follow-up in a few days with its own email confirming your registration(s).
