PAB Fall Conference

Please join us Wednesday, November 1 through Friday, November 3 at the Ramada Conference Center (State College, PA) for the 2023 PAB Fall Conference. This year’s conference will include programming for agency executives, field workers, and prevention specialists.

Wednesday, November 1st

(Registration desk opens at 11 a.m. First session 1:00 pm)

• The afternoon includes an icebreaker/team building session, client and agency success stories, and Avoiding Staff Burnout.
• Dinner is included in the registration fee and will be held in Ballroom A.

Thursday, November 2nd

(Breakfast for overnight guests, Lunch included in registration, Dinner is on your own)

• Three tracks will be presented – Administration and Management, Training and Support Services (TSS), and Preschool Vision Screening and Eye Safety (PSE). Participants may switch between topics to design their own experience.
• Planned sessions include hardware and apps that will benefit clients; panel discussion of O&M, AT, & RT; Working with difficult clients; Using the Spot Screener and how to print its results on the road; How to get successful vision screenings from shy, scared, or special needs kids.

Friday, November 3rd 

(Breakfast for overnight guests, Lunch included in registration)

• Anticipated sessions on Diversity & Inclusion as well as pediatric eye disorders and development.

The Ramada Hotel & Conference Center is located at 1450 South Atherton Street in State College. Features include P.J. Harrigan’s Restaurant, indoor & outdoor pool, fitness center and game room.

Rooms are $85 per night (plus tax) and must be reserved by telephone (814-238-3001). The block is PA Association for the Blind. The group code is PAB2023. This rate expires at midnight on September 30, so please make sure you reserve your rooms by then!

If you require gluten-free options, let us know on the registration page. The hotel will be able to accommodate, but we need to let them know in advance.

After selecting the number of each type of ticket, you’ll see the options for registering each person. This is also where the gluten free meal should be selected.

You may pay online via credit card or select the “Agency Check” option which will allow you to send PAB a check as payment.

After registering, attendees may receive an auto reply from the website (which might go to your spam folder). PAB will follow-up in a few days with its own email confirming your registration(s).
